As part of the My Wycombe town branding project, I designed a student-friendly map aimed at freshers starting at Buckinghamshire New University. The goal? To introduce students to High Wycombe’s town centre, highlight local businesses, and share a bit of the town’s rich history—all while keeping the look and feel aligned with the newly developed My Wycombe brand.
To bring the map to life, I illustrated each key building and waypoint, creating a visually engaging and easy-to-navigate design. The map featured restaurants, cafes, bars, and entertainment spots that would appeal to students, along with exclusive student offers to encourage them to explore the town.
Handed out during Freshers’ Week, the map served as both a practical guide and a piece of branded artwork, helping new students feel at home while supporting local businesses. This project required a blend of branding, illustration, and marketing expertise, ensuring consistency with the My Wycombe identity while creating something fun, informative, and engaging for a younger audience.
